What Adam has done with this shot is take something irreparably dead, such as the trees found in Sossuvlei, and make it alive with movement. The sun rising behind frames it in a light that it almost difficult to look into. It looks almost as if the tree is a dancer and Adam has caught it mid leap as it flows from one movement into the next. Quite sophisticated in look, 'The Ballerina' hangs well in a multitude of decor styles.
